Running M-Color Setup in silent mode You can install M-Color 8.0 in silent mode (without user intervention). When you run M-Color 8.0 Setup in silent mode, it installs M-Color 8.0 without asking any questions. If the computer does not have any version of M-Color installed, a fresh copy of M-Color 8.0 is installed in the Program Files\M-Color folder. If the computer has a previous version of M-Color installed, it is upgraded to 8.0. If the computer already has M-Color 8.0 installed, setup does nothing. To run M-Color Setup in silent mode, you need the CD-ROM version of M-Color 8.0. If you do not have the CD-ROM, contact Motive Systems at techsupp@motivesys.com. You can also download the CD contents as a ZIP package by clicking here. To install M-Color 8.0 in silent mode, run Setup.exe with the -s switch. You can copy the setup files to a shared network location or you can install from the CD-ROM. If you are installing from a read-only location such as the CD-ROM or read-only network share, you must specify a writable target location for the setup log file with the -f2LogFile switch (e.g. -f2C:\Temp\Setup.log). By default, setup runs in the default language of your operating system. To force installation in a specific language, use the -lLanguageID switch with one of the following language IDs: - 0009 (English) - 000a (Spanish) - 0007 (German) - 000b (Finnish) - 0015 (Polish) Examples Install M-Color 8.0 in silent mode from the M-Color 8.0 CD-ROM (in drive D:): - Click Start / Run - Type D:\Setup\Setup.exe -s -f2C:\Temp\Setup.log and click OK Install M-Color 8.0 (German version) in silent mode from a shared network location: - Click Start / Run - Type \\SERVERNAME\SHARENAME\Setup.exe -s -f2C:\Temp\Setup.log -l0007 and click OK Back Back to top |
